Community Outreach Director

MacKenzie Bills comes with a wealth of experience in community outreach, policy, and scaling new initiatives. As one of the first USAID Philanthropy Advisors, Bills expanded new, strategic philanthropic partnerships from the U.S. to around the world and to high net wealth individuals and philanthropic collectives and raised $150 million USD for the largest contribution to anti-lead efforts in world history. Her experience includes leading rural and Indigenous advocacy efforts for Opportunity Finance Network and continues to advocate as the lead policy advisor for Reimagining Rural Assistance Network (RRAN). She previously ran for Iowa State House and lost by only 421 votes where she advocated for anti-human trafficking legislation, childcare, stronger working conditions, and public schools. Bills' time at the U.S. State Department includes in the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, the Office of International Religious Freedom, and Young African Leadership Initiative teams working on sub-Saharan African trends. Bills is a Fulbright Scholar and speaks Kiswahili, French, and Bahasa Melayu.
