In April 2025, we hosted our first idea-crafting workshop. What began as an experiment drew over 25 participants of former public servants eager to explore what comes after government. There was a deep, shared desire for a new kind of public service driven forward by peer support. What emerged was not just progress on individual ideas, but a shared sense of momentum.

Public Value Lab is a non-profit registered in the District of Columbia. We have only made it thus far because of our partners, donors, and supporters and their innovative support. Whether it is donating paper, office space, or sponsoring an accelerator member, we welcome various kinds of support to support our cohorts.

It costs $7,000 to have each cohort member participate in an accelerator. Your contribution can make the difference of changemaker to move forward with their public value vision.

Defining Success

Success takes many forms for the Public Value Lab. For some, it includes launching a business. Some include taking their idea to a company and getting hired. Others include reflection and pivoting to a new industry. All are important and all merit space and time dedicated to the journey.
